The 19th Giants Fan Fest takes place at AT&T Park, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 from 11am-3pm. The day includes live KNBR broadcasts on the field, player Q&A, free player autographs and places to take photos, a kid’s zone and more.

California Academy of Sciences Free Admission Day, February 5th, 2012. The Academy is changing its free day policy.  Starting in February, the Academy’s monthly Free Wednesday will be replaced with a quarterly Free Sunday. Admission to the Academy is on a first-come, first-served basis, and early arrival is recommended. Final entry to the museum on free days is 4 pm.

Chinese New Year Parade, February 11th, 2012 Named one of the world’s top ten parades, the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is the largest celebration of its kind outside of Asia. The parade starts on Market, goes up Geary, down Post and ends on Kearny at Columbus. Parade highlights include elaborate floats, lion dancers, folk dancers, marching bands, stilt walkers, Chinese acrobats, and a 250 foot long Golden dragon that takes a team of over 100 men and women to carry.February Activities in San Francisco

Meet our Staff – GEOS SF

Matt Mercurio new manager at GEOS SFMeet out new manager, Matt Mercurio! Matt was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from West Virginia University. He has worked at ESL schools in Chicago and San Diego, and has experience in all aspects of International Education, such as operations, home stay and management. He has studied abroad in Dubai and speaks basic Spanish. Matt enjoys working with international students because of the diversity. He says, “I enjoy meeting new people. It’s just a good feeling.” In San Francisco he likes spending time outdoors on hikes and long walks. His favorite places are Mt. Tam, Golden Gate Park and North Beach.
