Ninth Avenue Food Festival: Taste what Hell’s Kitchen is cooking at this annual food festival, where restaurants and outdoor vendors serve up food to suit every taste. The 20-block gastronomic extravaganza features cuisine from Greece, Brazil, Italy, Morocco, Senegal, Ukraine, Thailand and everywhere in between! Takes place May 19-20, 2012 12:00 – 5:00 pm.

What’s Happening in NYC

April has plenty of interesting things to do and see.  Just a few examples are The Easter Day Parade, The Tribeca Film Festival, and Opening day at Yankee Stadium.

  1. Easter Day Parade:  Partake in a quintessential event, the Easter Day Parade!
    Stop by to see the participants with their creative Easter bonnets and costumed pets. This event takes place on April 8th, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  2. Tribeca Film Festival:  Film lovers rejoice! The Tribeca Film Festival brings us a wide variety of films  for enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. This major event brings people in from all over the world. Taking place April 18th – 29th.
  3. Opening Day at Yankee Stadium:  Come see the boys of summer! The New York Yankees begin another (hopefully successful) season on April 13th. If you are a New York Baseball fan, this is something that should be done at least once!

New York -Students - DecemberThe Holiday season descends upon Manhattan. And lets face it, NYC knows how to do this time of year like no other. Some of the best ways to spend the season are the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Nutcracker, and New Years Eve in Times Square.

 

  1. Radio City Christmas Spectacular:  Come watch New York’s own Rockettes kick up their heels in style for the season!  An all new routine and flying LED screen spice up this year’s performance. See them at Radio City Music Hall, from November 7th-December 30th.
  2. The Nutcracker: Nothing captures the spirit of the season better than this timeless classic of dance. Create a wonderful memory by seeing it at the Koch Theater, November 25th – December 31st.
  3. New Years Eve!: The once in a lifetime ‘gotta do it’ event takes place again in Times Square. Join countless others to watch the glittering descent of the New Year’s Ball and remember forever where you were on December 31st, 2012.
